Havelli,a restaurant  offers first-class cousine(food) and service in an intimate ,sophisticated(worldly) setting but flavor of Pakistani. located  in Barcelona city.

Haveli is generic term used for a traditional townhouse or mansion in Pakistan.

  • I've lived in Barcelona for 10 years and have always been on the lookout for a good Indian restaurant, but they are strangely thin on the ground here - we had seen this place open up in our neighbourhood just a few months ago and decided to give it a try - we were blown away by the delicious authentic Indian food - some of the best I've ever had! We have been back a few times now and have never been disappointed - we usually go for the incredible value-for-money €11 lunch menu - my favourite main is the chicken biryani with the most perfectly cooked and delicately flavoured rice ever, and their butter chicken is also fabulous (finally, a good butter chicken in Barcelona!). Friendly service and great value-for-money, if you're after great Indian food you can't do better than this place in the centre of Barcelona - and I know since I've tried just about all of them!

  • After 2 years in Barcelona I was desperate for some really excellent Indo/Pak food. I lived in Mumbai for five years and consider the cuisine from that sub-continent the best in the world, but sadly underrated and often very badly cooked in Europe. So Haveli, just behind Tres Chimineas is a real gem. It's very recently opened and hasn't yet gained a clientele so we were the only people there. The staff were friendly and efficient, but although they don't serve alcohol they very graciously allowed us to drink our own. To start we shared veg pakoras, veg somosas and a chick pea salad. All were delicious, but the tamarind dressing on the salad could have been spicier for my taste. Our mains were karela: perfect; palak paneer: very tasty, but would be better with large chunks of paneer; huge prawns which lacked spice; chicken korma really tasty; tarka dal which was delicious..... it may be a staple, but it's one of my benchmarks of a good restaurant. Along with that lot we had roti, parantha and rice. One friend had ras malai, I think, which she really enjoyed. All that lot for €17.50 each. Worth every centimo! One of my friends is half Indian (I think her Indian half includes her tastebuds and tummy) so we reckon we are experts and whilst Haveli has a few understandable minor teething problems, we can't wait to go back. If you like Indian/Pakistani food, too and want respite from the usual Spanish fare of jamón, jamón, jamón y mas jamón get along to Haveli. Apparently they do great value set lunch for €11. Despite only giving it 4 stars ( small lumps of paneer and lack of spice on the chickpeas & prawns) all four of us would absolutely recommend Haveli
